Iznik large deep plate, rounded form, with flat rim, the interior of plate decorated with split-palmette ‘rumi’ motifs in blue. The reverse of plate decorated with a wide band of ‘hatayi’ lotus scrolls in blue on a white ground. The original of the Iznik plate was sold at an auction of approximately 5 million pounds.
